Creating at the beach

So, this weekend, we had the first of hopefully many creative days by the beach.  This particular beach is Fortuna Strand in Rydebäck, Skåne- in southern Sweden.
We were so EXTREMELY lucky with the weather! It couldn't have been better. Sunshine, warm enough to be in a t-shirt most of the time and no wind to speak of.
We started the day with preparing some fabrics for ice dying.

Next we prepared screens with different textures and colors so that they would dry by the afternoon for printing.

While these were drying we prepared fabric for sun-printing.

We took a well earned break to sit in the sun and enjoy lunch.
After lunch we continued on, most of our ice had melted so we could see our initial results! (some color would be washed out in the rinsing process but still!)We also could see how the sun printing had worked, and print our deconstructed prints.
Ice dyed fabrics as well as some deconstructed prints.

A lovely result with sun-printing.

More deconstructed prints.

A highly productive and enjoyable day!
